Quiet Room ni Yokoso (2007)

After stopping and continuing it for a couple of times I've finally finish watching this movie. Each one of the characters portrayed it very well.
I guess the first half of the movie wasn't that interesting maybe that is the reason why I stopped it and continued it for a couple of times.
It's a kind of movie which you want to watch it to know the reason but also lazy to sit there to finish the whole movie and just want to skip it to the end.
But I do find the 2nd half of the movie pretty interesting, especially the part where Asuka finally knows the truth from the letter.
Overall the movie was pretty good.

synopsis:
28 years old freelancer writer Sakura Asuka (Yuki Uchida) wakes up tied in a white room. The white room is a protected room located in an isolated ward of a psychiatric hospital. Sakura first became unconscious because of heavy alcohol use and a druge overdose. She’s confined in the single room because of her high risk of committing suicide.

Sakura tried to talk to the nurses and doctors but they didn’t listen to her. Under the circumstances another patient Miki (Yu Aoi), who suffers from an eating disorder, leads her to understand the unknown world. But, Sakura is looking for the way to get back to the real world as soon as possible.

Tegami (2006)

I watched "Tegami" today because I heard it was a great movie. I saw the download link a year ago but I didn't download it because I thought it was a typical love story between 2 guys and 1 girl. Until I read the summary of and some comments about this movie.

Although the movie was kind of moving at a slow rate and hardly a lot of talking but it wasn't boring at all. The bond between Nao and Tsuyoshi was touching, the elder brother Tsuyoshi loved his little brother so much and the little brother Nao hated his brother for being a murder which maked him lost his job and girlfriend.

It's not actually sad at all but I was crying towards the end where his brother wrote the last letter to Ogata-san.

So overall I think this movie is great!

Summary: Focuses on two brothers who lost their parents when they were younger. The older brother works exhaustingly hard to earn enough money to send his younger brother to college. One day the older brother breaks into a house to get money for tuition and he accidentally kills an old woman. From here the younger brother’s tragic fate begins. Everything he has starts to slip away–his house, job, dream and lover–everything. But his older brother keeps sending letters regularly to tell of his life in jail. It is difficult to cut the bonds of brotherhood and he struggles to get out of his abyssal reality. Finally he meets a woman who saves him from his crisis. When he is in a threatening situation in which he is about to lose his small happiness with her he decides to cut the “vicious chain of letters” which are being sent from inside of the walls of prison.

GOTH - Live Movie

Goth was originally a novel written by Ostu-ichi and was adapted into a manga by Kendi Oiwa. The novel also won the Honkaku Mystery Prize and now it was announced that Goth will be made into a movie. Right up to now I only know that Hongo Kanata will be starring in it.

I started to take a notice of Hongo Kanata every since Prince of Tennis Live, so I'm really looking forward for this movie.

And recently I've manga to download the manga of Goth.
It's one of the type that I'm not interested in, it's about the dark side and weird things. The story is about two high school students: an unnamed male narrator, and a girl named Yoru Morino. Both are fascinated by murder, and end up involved in six different murder mysteries happening in their hometown.
In the manga they have some disgusting scenes, it really turned me off. But luckily it's only a manga it didn't scared me too much.

L ~ Change the WorLd~ Teaser

L ~Change the WorLd~ Teaser Released.

I was so crazy about Death Note last year when I started reading the manga and started to recommend it to people around me. Then the live movie was released and it became such a big hit that everyone knows about it.
But I got sick of it that I didn't bother to finish the anime version of it. But L is one of the coolest anime character.

I thought Kenichi was totally hot as L that I started to take an eye on him but I only like him as L. So when I heard that there will be a movie about L I was so happy and excited.

Just today I found out the trailer was release (I'm a bit slow about it).
I did read about the plot before, but still has no clue how they would implement this story within the 28 days before L dies. It makes no sense to me at all when I think about the manga or movie. 28 days before L died he was still solving the Kira case and I did see Missa in the trailer and death note but not Light.

This might be another great movie continued from Death Note 1 & 2 but it might also be a disappointment. It can be a disappointment if L is featured as the main character but it might be not, lets just hope note.

Nishijima Takahiro star in new film

Nissy from AAA is starring in Sion Sono's new film "Ai no Mukidashi". Nissy has acted on stage and in a television drama and this would be his first time acting in a movie.

The story is an original script by Sono. Nissy plays Yu, a young man with a penchant for peeping. He lives with his father, a Catholic priest Atsuro Watabe). By chance, he meets a woman named Yoko (Hikari Mitsushima) and falls in love with her, but she and her family have become involved in a new religious cult. As a result, Yu ends up in a conflict against that cult.

It is said that this role is difficult but Nissy commented that he is looking forward to it in learning experience.

The filming will start this month and said to be release in early summer 2008. Sono is aiming to take "Ai no Mukidashi" to festivals next year, including Cannes and Venice.

I'll be looking forward to Nissy's first movie.

Nobody Knows

Times before I wanted to watch this movie "Nobody Knows" that was released in 2004 but only until 2 days before I got to watch it. The main actor Yuya Yagira has won his first movie award from this movie. I must say he acted really good in this movie. The storyline is adapted to a real life situation where the mother has left 4 children of hers in an apartment. The children suffer once when they reached to the stage of no money and they their water was cut which make them carry water from the park to home.
To me the story does go a bit slow, boring but interesting.
Akira the older child which is only 12 portraits a very mature and caring brother which touched the hearts of the audience.
I didn't expect someone to die in this movie and not have expected the one who died is Yuki. She's so adorable but she died because she fell off from a chair. It was sad but that part didn't touched me at all. If it was Akira who died I would have cried because the siblings all rely on Akira if he's gone then the situation they are in are more worst. But maybe the true story is like that, I don't know at all.
I thought this movie was great but a bit slow and boring.

Hongo's Uprising

So a few days ago I visited the nana-nan.net site and they had an article featuring Hongo Kanata.
Reading that just reminded me days ago I've watched the B'z PV "Eien no Tsubasa" and "Seto Shokun".
After watching "Himitsu no Hanazono" I've actually went back and downloaded "Hinokio" (Which was quite some time ago) and looking back when he was still 15 (15? I thought he was looked younger than that in Hinokio) was shocking and comparing it to now. He is one of the many actor which was out standing during at a young age. But what gotten his popularity must be the popular movie NANA2.

So as his popularity is rising his fansbase include a variety age and nationality.

I was watching the B'z PV "Eien no Tsubasa" which Hongo was starring in. I think the only song I've heard from B'z was "Ocean" and I totally loved that song. Well anyway, I have no idea of what the song was about but I loved the PV. It gives a sort of sweet and sad feeling and Hongo really pulls off the kiddy/boy look even though he's only 17.

Eien no Tsubasa

Then later I had watched episode 1 of "Seto Shokun" and I have a feeling that Hongo always plays the quiet type characters. For me the first episode of "Seto Shokun" sort of give me a feeling of Hongo as Hinata in the first episode of "Himitsu no Hanazono". But it might just be the first episode that gives me this feeling.

seto shokun

But I would love to see him acting as a loud and annoying character.

Death Note ~The Last Name~

Even though the DVD of Death Note ~The Last Name~ isn't out yet, but I manage to watch a cinema recorded version with subtitles.
Although it was straining my eyes so much plus I was watching it at night I still watched the whole movie because it was so interesting.

I'm watching the anime as well so movie 2 is around the part where I'm up to in anime. It feels a bit confusing despite that I've seen the manga, anime and movie. Epseically in the movie they cut and shorten parts so much from the original which makes me thing "EH? Where's that part?" so and so.

So the 2nd movie, BIG CHANGES! Even though it still stick to the storyline.
The movie started a review on what happened in movie 1 and then showed Shiori funeral. Then it just moves on to Light joining in the investigate group.
Things just went as the manga did, L & Light together investigate on the Kira case. I love the part where L went to Light's uni to see him and he was wearing a mask when he came. It was so CUTE!
There is slightly changes in the movie but I can't remember them. But the MAJOR change is the end part.
~SPOILERS~~~~~~~~~

Light died before L died.
The BIG change was the part after when L meant to L in the manga.
In the manga Rem wrote L's and Watari's name in his Death Note in order to save Missa.
That scene did happened in the movie, BUT L didn't died....
What happened???
L was soooooo smart that he knew Light would try and kill him, so he wrote his name in Ryuk's Death Note that he die in 20 days after.
So the Death Note that Missa have been writting on was a fake one created by L. I think Ryuk knows about it but since he's not on either sides so he kept quite about it.
So when Rem wrote L's name on his Death Note L couldn't die, because he already written his name on another Death Note.
Well... At the end L will die just that Light died before L did which is different from the manga.
But at least it didn't show him dying, from my point of view, I think they made Light die before L is because L's character is more popular than Light in the live action movie.

I just wanna say that, although it's completely changed at the end but THE MOVIE WAS FRINGGING SO GOOD AND L IS SO CUTE!

That's it! I'm so excited about movie 3 where it only talks about L.

Sukitomo "Smile for you"

I watched the "Smile for you" DVD! Finally, some video that I can see Aiba-chan.
It was a 40mins long video all focus on Aiba-chan, I loved this video.
Because before those backstage videos of Tenimyu or Switch wo Osutoki doesn't have much footage of the kawaii Aiba-chan.

Aiba-chan's acting is really good! I can see the emotions and feelings....
When he was talking about the movie, he told us that he put a lot of effort in just how to hold the camera so that he looks professional and handsome at the same time. Just a little thing in the movie, he worked so hard for it. This shows his serious-ness in towards acting.

Even though it's a movie that Aiba-chan develop a 'more than friend' feeling towards Takumi but it doesn't have any touchy or yaoi-ness in it.
It's very pure and navie love.

The most important part of the movie that shows them the touchy feels is the part where Aiba-chan nearly go run over by a motorbike and Takumi runs out and saved Aiba-chan. They both got down the floor and hugged each other. That scene they had to NG 3 or 4 times to get it right.

It seem like a pretty good movie to watch, but it might come out not as interesting. Just like Boys Love, I find it a bit boring (maybe because there was no subs).
Anyways, for Aiba-chan I will love this movie!

Lovely Complex

Lovely Complex is about two Hich School students Atsushi Otani (played by Koike) and Risa Koizumi (played by Fujisawa). Risa, a tall Japanese girl, gets rejected by a boy because she is taller than him. Otani, a short Japanese guy, gets rejected by a girl because he is shorter than her. And the two gradually become attracted to each other while coping with their respective height complexes. Together, they became the laughing stock of their whole school, always caught bickering back and forth. Although everyone claims that they’re a “perfect couple”, both deny it with rage. Fed up, Koizumi set out on a mission to find a fitting boyfriend, but who knows, maybe everyone was right. The pair’s comedic dialog in Kansai dialect is very popular and the manga has sold over 6 million copies of volumes 1 through 12 combined.Obviously these two would make the oddest of couples and would never be a good match for each other right? Well, love doesn’t always follow such logic as Lovely Complex will show.

Main reason why I watched this might be Koike Teppei. Although I'm a fan of WaT but I love to watch him in dramas and movies. He's just utterly super cute!
I liked this movie, it's a comedy love romance movie. It has some touchy parts which I cried. But the part about the new teacher and the "Maity Team" was kind of stupid. I hated the all pink thing and how they treated him like a king. The most kawaii part was the kiss at the end, it's so cute how he tip-toed to kiss the girl. You know how usually it's the girls who tip-toe.
In some shots I think Fujisawa looked like Fiona Sit (a HK singer) for a second. But she is pretty cute!

There's no doubt that Teppei and Wentz are bestfriends. Wentz was in the filming, he was in the crowd of the Maity Team dressed in all pink.
It wasn't shown in the movie but it was shown afterward when they showed the making/backstage.

I know this news is pretty old but it's my first time reading this article.
When I know there's going to be another movie of Death Note and the main character will be L I was so happy that I couldn't breathe.
I have to say Matsuyama is fringing so hot as L!
L is my favorite character as his weird personality capture my attention.
Also Matsuyama voice act for Jealous, this should be exciting. I can't wait until I'm up to the part where they going to talk about Jealous.
